Description
Ready-to-use DNA Loading Dye with bromophenol blue, the standard tracking dye for electrophoresis.
Used as a colour marker to monitor the process of electroforesis in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. Bromophenol blue carries a slight negative charge at moderate pH, same as DNA or protein, so it will migrate in the same direction in a gel. The rate at which it migrates varies according to the gel density and buffer composition.
